Community Rules

Effective September 17, 2026

Brunswick Local Market is for lawful, pickup-focused buying and selling in Ocean Isle Beach and nearby Brunswick County communities.

Be accurate and respectful

• Post only items you own or are authorized to sell.
• Use current photographs of the actual item. Stock photos, AI-made images, and pictures of a different item are not allowed. Listings whose photos we have checked show a Real photos badge.
• Describe defects, condition, price, and pickup area honestly.
• Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, spam, or manipulate other users.

One item, one listing

Post each item once, in the category that fits it best. Reposting the same item to stay at the top, or splitting one sale across many listings, may be removed. Listings stay up for 30 days; renew from My listings if it hasn't sold, and mark it sold when it's gone so buyers don't keep asking.

Yard sales

A local yard sale, garage sale, or estate sale may be advertised as one listing with dates, community, and a few photos of what will be out. Do not use the market as a junkyard: no scrap piles, salvage dumps, or endless boxes of broken parts.

Items not allowed

• Illegal, stolen, recalled, or counterfeit goods.
• Weapons, ammunition, explosives, controlled substances, tobacco, alcohol, or prescription products.
• Animals, adult services, financial products, tickets, gift cards, personal data, or hazardous materials.
• Items that infringe copyrights or trademarks.
• Drop-shipped, nationwide-shipping, advance-fee, or other offers that conflict with the local-pickup purpose.
• Junkyard or scrap-yard dumps: mixed scrap, salvage piles, or boxes of broken parts posted as bulk junk.

Business advertising

Local Brunswick-area businesses can advertise on the homepage board. Email sales@brunswicklocalmarket.com or use the advertising form with your business name, website, and a short line about what you do. Dealers, estate-sale operators, and other businesses that list items for sale must identify themselves accurately. Duplicate listings and keyword stuffing may be removed.

Enforcement

Listings are reviewed before publication. We may reject or remove content and suspend accounts when these rules are violated or when activity creates a safety risk. See our safety tips for how to buy and sell safely.
